Vicky Palmer Affectionate animal portraiture

Based in an idyllic hamlet in rural Wiltshire, award winning artist Vicky Palmer is inspired to paint by the countryside and its characters – most particularly the farmyard birds and animals that she encounters on her dog walks, and the hounds which are so much a part of outdoor life in the area. Her signature style is to portray each creature in loving detail, but then to remove it from its traditional setting and place it against a cool minimalist background, placing the detail into sharp relief and allowing us to choose our own setting. Vicky has exhibited to great success in the south of England and her list of collectors includes Lady Judith McAlpine, Alan Titchmarsh and Mary Berry.
