With this ingenious new collection, US artist Craig Alan combines technical skill, creativity and wit. Each iconic image is woven from hundreds of small and intricately painted figures. His work is all about inclusiveness and when we see his familiar miniature people crowding round and inhabiting famous artworks it suggests a complete lack of elitism, which is replaced with accessibility and a sense of community – something about which Craig is passionate. We, the people, become a part of the art itself. “Art” says Craig, "needs to be responsible to its purpose; to inspire and enhance."
